Under its Power Generations initiative and contribution to National Solar Power Mission, Modern India Limited has set up a — 3 MW Grid Connected Solar Power Project at Satara, Maharashtra, at a CAPEX OF INR 240 million. The project was implemented with the latest technology and state of art advancements.

The Project is Accredited with Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA), Pune in accordance with the extant Regulation of Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC), Mumbai and Registered with Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), New Delhi

Modern India in its endeavour to expand its business launched one of the First Solar PV plant in Maharashtra, With a total capacity of  3 MW in 2014 and its another 2MW project is underway of installation. 

Modern India supplies the power generated from its 3 MW project to Mahadiscom/ Adani/ third parties through Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) grid infrastructure under the Open Access Policy of Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC). “
